1992 - The Start of Newman Roofing
Tim Newman grew up in the roofing industry. His career began when he started working as an installer for his father’s roofing crew as a teenager. His father pushed him every day to work harder than everyone else on the crew. One day, Tim approached his father and asked why he made the least amount of money when he worked the hardest. His father replied “son, it’s not how hard you work, it’s what you know.” It was at that point that Tim knew he liked being in control of his own destiny and would eventually build his own business.
Tim decided to build his own company in 1992 as a means for providing for his growing family. His sole purpose when starting the business was simple: take good care of people, do the right thing, and make money to support his family. Tim never imagined that the company would grow to what it has become today. He has built a solid foundation for Newman Roofing based on the principles of quality, character, integrity, and honesty.

2011 - Newman Roofing becomes a Family Business
As the company continued to grow, Tim knew that he was going to need someone to help him run the daily operations. Barbi Newman decided to join the Newman Roofing team in 2011. They knew that it would be no easy task working with your spouse, but they were prepared to do what was best for both their family and for the company. Tim and Barbi once again defied the odds. The long hours and hard work paid off as the business continued to grow year after year.
Tim and Barbi have always appreciated dedication and hard work. Tim believes that the hiring of employees with good character has contributed to the success of his business. This theory was validated based on the positive feedback, number of referrals, and lasting relationships that were formed with customers.

Present - Tradition Continues with the 3rd Generation of Newmans
Tim and Barbi always had the goal of providing a life of love and gratitude for their three daughters. They wanted their daughters to know the value of being respectful and having a good work ethic. Tim would always tell his daughters “I don’t care what you decide to be when you grow up, I just want you to be the best at what you decide to do.”
Having seen the effort, time, and dedication put forth by their parents, the Newman daughters took pride in trying to live up to the role models that they had been given. Their two oldest daughters, Alyssa and Alexis, both graduated at the top of their class in high school and went on to graduate with Bachelor’s Degrees from Miami University. Both daughters continued on to graduate at the top of their Master’s programs with degrees in the field of Speech Pathology. The youngest daughter, Autumn, is still in high school and already embraces the opportunity to build upon her own list of accomplishments. All of the Newman daughters attribute their success to the support, encouragement, and precedent provided by their parents.
Alyssa Newman, the eldest daughter, recently joined the family tradition as part of the Newman Roofing team. She joined the team as the Chief of Operations. She is excited to be working alongside both her mother and father within the company. Alyssa takes pride in the business that was built by her father. Alexis Newman, the middle daughter, recently joined the team as the Sales Manager. They look forward to helping their parents continue to build the company and carrying on the family legacy. The Newman Family looks forward to the possibilities that lie ahead.
